Arise and Take Dominion

Isaiah 60:1 is a rising word. “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” Disappointment has a way of teaching people to stay low, to speak softly about their names, and to expect the next month to look like the last hard year. This word refuses that training. The glory of the Lord is not a decoration on a life that remains hidden. It is the reason to stand up.

Rising here is also restoration of image. What God made was not a reduced copy. Genesis 1:27 says man was made in the image of God. Where sickness has rewritten the body, where shame has rewritten the name, and where the enemy has interrupted the glory on a life, the decree of this ministry is restoration. Be strong. Be firm. Be steadfast. Your identity in Christ is not a rumour. It is sharpened again by the word.

Dominion was given on the same day man was made. It was rule, not panic. Luke 10:19 puts authority in the hands of the disciple: authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy, and the promise that nothing will harm you. That authority is for household wickedness as much as for a public battle. It is for an economy that has been speaking lack over a house. It is for sickness that has been treated as a landlord. Philippians 4:19 does not leave the matter in the air. God meets need according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.

So arise. Do not negotiate with the dust. Take the authority that was given, and take it without theatre. Dominion over lack, dominion over sickness, and dominion over spiritual stagnation is the shape of this charge. The light has come. Shine.
